About
Erden, warrior of the steppe, twice-blessed of Nhaama, he who dwells beneath the shadow of the great mountain is but one body of a shared soul. Erden is a man who has fully embraced the traditional life of a man of the steppe. He lives, fights, and will likely die honoring the ways of his people. A man of great faith, he lives his life in ardent devotion to Nhaama, the Dusk Mother. He considers his faith to be a core foundation for his perspective on life, and is steeply immersed in the ritual and mysticism of the Xaelan shamans. Like many of the Himaa, Erden's conception was blessed by the presence of a twin brother. His brother, however, was weak and dying while within the womb. Rather than lose the child, Erden's mother sought out a shaman of the Steppe who placed a bond between the two unborn children. Aether flowed from Erden into his brother, strengthening and nourishing the child until birth. Since then, the two have shared an unseen link. Despite the divergence of their paths, they remain aware of one another no matter the distance between them.
Appearance
Erden has gained much wealth and fame to the people of the steppe. His herds are large and varied. Such wealth has afforded him to trade for fine ornaments brought from far off lands. As a result, Erden, while perhaps appearing garish or opulent amongst the people of the steppe, would look decidedly odd to the western discernment of fashion and beauty. His face is shapely with subtle feminine features and possess dark blue eyes with matching limbal rings. To his horn tips he has affixed precious 'star metal' drawn from a stone that fell from the heavens, or so the merchant claimed. His hair is a dark brown, worn long and tied in the back in a tight braid.
